My Journey

I've built over 15 ventures. Some soared, some stumbled, and the rest are still in motion...
My grandfather was the first to introduce me to planes, sitting down to build toy models together. This sparked my passion for aerospace engineering, leading to numerous awards and achievements.
This sparked my interest in aerospace, ultimately leading to a 7 year career in the world of air vehicles.

About Dreu

Raised by a musician turned founder, a chemist turned CFO, and an Air Force tech, a curiousity for creativity, science, and venture growth was sparked within me at an early age.
In 2014, I took a leap of faith to embark on a career in systems engineering at Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth, TX, although my curiousity for business continued, leading me to start different business interest groups like A.I.M.
By 2018, that leap evolved into an opportunity at Skunk Works, spanning classified and unclassified programs aimed at turning revolutionary ideas into real-world impact. This ultimately sharpened my skills in machine learning, systems, intrapreneurship, and program leadership.
In 2021, driven by my passion for empowering visionaries and building systems that help ideas scale, I stepped into full-time portfolio entrepreneurship... marking the beginning of a journey still unfolding...
More About Dreu
I was born and raised in Greenville, North Carolina in a household shaped by entrepreneurship and creativity.
My father was a musician who later transitioned into the mental health field, showing me how passion, service, and adaptability can coexist in a meaningful career.
My mother was a chemist whose work sparked my early interest in science, problem solving, and technology.
Growing up around both creativity and analytical thinking shaped how I approach building today, blending curiosity, empathy, and execution

I gained large scale corporate experience working at Lockheed Martin, where I supported sustainment efforts for the F 35 program. That role exposed me to the operational side of advanced technology, focusing on long term performance, reliability, and lifecycle management rather than just initial innovation.

Working in sustainment sharpened my understanding of how complex systems are maintained at scale and how decisions made early in design and strategy impact cost, performance, and outcomes over time. It reinforced the importance of disciplined execution, cross functional coordination, and thinking beyond launch to ensure systems continue to perform in real world conditions.

This experience exposed me to a variety of skills, connections, and opportunities, including a sponsorship to get my Masters in Engineering Management at Duke, and acceptance into an internal Engineering Leadership Development Program.

Early in my career, I worked within Skunk Works at Lockheed Martin Skunk Works, where I helped develop innovative ideas and solutions to complex, advanced technology challenges. That environment required creative thinking, technical rigor, and the ability to operate at the edge of what was possible.

Alongside building solutions, I also supported scientists and engineers who were creating breakthrough innovations by helping them frame strong business cases, articulate value, and secure customer-awarded R&D funding (CRAD) and internal R&D funding (IRAD). This experience taught me how to translate deep technical work into clear strategic narratives and reinforced my ability to bridge innovation, execution, and impact.

I began building many of my ventures as a part time entrepreneur. While working full time, I tested ideas, built early traction, and validated demand before committing fully. This approach allowed me to manage risk, learn quickly, and be intentional about where and when to go all in.

As those ventures reached a certain level of clarity and momentum, I transitioned into full time entrepreneurship and expanded into operating multiple businesses at once. Working this way has reinforced a systems mindset, where lessons, resources, and relationships transfer across ventures. It is demanding, but it has allowed me to build thoughtfully, reduce unnecessary risk, and scale with greater confidence.

My experience, as reflected on my LinkedIn profile, sits at the intersection of systems thinking, development, and business execution. I have spent years integrating complex systems and ways of thinking, often serving as a liaison between highly technical teams and non technical audiences. This has included translating topics as complex as rocket science and plasma physics into clear, actionable narratives that customers, operators, and decision makers can understand and act on.

Across my ventures and professional work, efficient systems, business development, finance, strategy, and user experience design have been core elements of how I operate. I care deeply about how ideas move from concept to execution and how products, services, and organizations are experienced by the people they serve. Along the way, I have built a diverse network of founders, operators, engineers, creatives, and leaders who value thoughtful problem solving, long term thinking, and collaboration.
